It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Tannock of Lively, Ontario, on October 11th, 2025.
Beloved son of the late William and Elizabeth Tannock, devoted husband to Vivian, and proud fur father to Bear.
Bill found great joy in the simple things — especially time spent at his camp on the French River, where he could relax in nature and enjoy the peace of the outdoors. His deep love for dogs was evident in the way he cared for and connected with them, always treating them as true companions.
Always the first to lend a hand, Bill was steadfastly available to help family and friends, no matter the need.
He is survived by his siblings Irene Cumming (late Ken) and Gord Tannock (Judith); nephew Stewart; in-laws Rita (Ron), Kristina (Mark), Beatrice (Bruce), Alfonse, and Darius (Jurgita); special cousin-in-laws Remi and Lynn; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
Those wishing to honour his memory may donate directly to Pet Save or a charity of their choice.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending lots of hugs.

My thoughts and heart are with Bill, Vivian, and Bear. I had the pleasure and good fortune to work with Bill and Vivian years ago. While I did not work in Bill’s
department, that didn’t stop him from always greeting me with a warm smile and an amazingly positive attitude. He and Vivian were truly two of the kindest people I have known. Vivian, I wish for peace and healing for you in the coming times. Take pride in the joy he brought others. Take comfort in the love he gave you and take strength from the support his memory provides.
