Sivret, Adrienne

It is with profound sadness and love that the family announces the passing of Adrienne Marie Rose Sivret (née Frappier) on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Maison McCulloch Hospice, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 27, 1943, Adrienne was the cherished daughter of the late René and Lucienne (Joly) Frappier. She shared a life of love and partnership for 60 years with her late husband, Lucien Sivret, a bond that was a testament to devotion, adventure, and shared passions.

Adrienne leaves behind her children Nicole (Roy), Lise (Rob), and Guy (Lisa); her treasured grandchildren Stéphanie (Alex), Chantal (Scott), Josée (Matthew), Henri, Riley, Mason, Channel (Emmanuel), Cloée, and Louis; and her adored great-grandchildren Benjamin, Mia, Ava, Aiden, Charlie, Archer, and Kaia. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister Suzanne (Richard) Bernard. Adrienne was predeceased by her brothers André (Yolande) Frappier, Henri (Rachelle) Frappier, Richard (Carmen) Larose, and Donald (Diane) Larose.

Adrienne was a woman whose life was defined by love, laughter, courage, and an unshakable devotion to her family and friends. She shared 60 remarkable years with her late husband, Lucien, building a life full of adventure, joy, and shared passions. Alongside Lucien, they explored the wild beauty of Northern Ontario in their floatplane, fishing, hunting, and sharing countless adventures. For six decades, they lovingly maintained their trapline at Kumska Lake, a place that became a haven for family, friends, and travelers, offering warmth, coffee, and sucre à la crème.

Adrienne’s energy and spirit knew no bounds. She spent 37 years safely transporting children as a school bus driver, raced cars at Hurricane Speedwasy, drove garbage trucks, operated a pay loader, and drove a tandem truck for her father’s company, Frappier Trucking. After Lucien retired from Ontario Hydro in 2000, she became his trusted sidekick, assisting with electrical work, wiring homes, and helping with renovations for 22 years touching countless lives with her skill, generosity, and kindness. Above all, Adrienne will be remembered for her heart of gold, infectious joy, boundless love, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. She lived by the words: “On ne met pas à demain ce qu’on peut faire aujourd’hui”, believing deeply that love can overcome any obstacle life places in our path. She radiated joy and warmth, laughter and kindness leaving an imprint on every person she met. Adrienne forgave freely, gave selflessly, and faced life’s challenges with a determination and willpower that inspired everyone around her.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:13, “Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” Adrienne lived this truth wholeheartedly. At the age of 80, she even chose to have the words faith, hope, and love tattooed on her arm—a testament to how deeply these virtues guided her life. A devoted Christian, Adrienne’s trust in God was unwavering. She carried a steadfast hope in the promise of Jesus, as spoken in John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying; Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” Adrienne embodied love—in her faith, in her family, and in her daily life. That love will remain forever in our hearts, and now in heaven for all eternity. Adrienne’s life was one of courage, laughter, adventure, and above all, love. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, a reminder that kindness, faith, hope and love can leave the world forever better than we found it.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Singh and staff, Maison McCulloch Hospice, HSN Emergency department and Kathleen for their compassion, care, and support during Adrienne’s final journey with pancreatic cancer. A memorial church service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Paroisse Ste-Marguerite D’Youville, Val Thérèse. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged.
