With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patsy McDonald on Sunday, August 24th at the age of 75, at Pioneer Manor, with family by her side.
Born to Victor and Ida Suotaila. Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit has left a lasting impression on everyone.
Patsy is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Robbie (Fabio) and Jennifer (David). Immense love for her grandsons, Jonathan and Daniel. She was a proud sister of Linda (Abbie, predeceased), Barbara (Mike), Susan (Robbie), Raymond, Rick (predeceased) and Jim (predeceased).
Patsy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. Special mention to the three little musketeers who visited her at Meadowbrook and Pioneer Manor.
Patsy was a devoted nurse in the Maternity Unit at Memorial Hospital, where she made it her mission to always put a curl in the baby's hair. After her time at Memorial Hospital, Patsy moved onto MDS and then retired at Life Labs.
Patsy loved sports, social gatherings with friends, camping, fishing and especially Bud Light.
A big and special thank you to the staff at Pioneer Manor on the third floor for their care and compassion.
A heartfelt thank you to Helen and Jerry, her wonderful neighbors in Florida, whose care and kindness meant so much to Patsy. Deep gratitude to Mandy Deshevy for checking in on her every single day during her time at Meadowbrook and Pioneer Manor—your thoughtfulness never went unnoticed. And a special thanks to Bob, for his kindness and support. A Celebration of Life for Patsy will take place on Saturday, September 20th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Kinsmen Hall in Lively, ON,15 Kin Drive.
