Hartwell, Penny-Jane

1960 - 2025

With heavy heart, we announce Penny-Jane's peaceful passing on August 12th, 2025, in her sleep, at the age of 64.

Penny-Jane deeply appreciated her loving partner Lee Ladouceur's tender care and devotion, with whom she shared life's joys and twists, for the past 25 years.

She will be missed by her stepchildren, Layla Lee (Eric) MacKenzie, Cody (predeceased) and precious granddaughter Valerie.

Penny-Jane greatly honoured her parents for their service to Canada during WWII, both predeceased J.W. (Jimmy) Hartwell and Lillian (Peterson) Hartwell.

Remembered by her brothers Kenny (predeceased), Bob (Linda) Hartwell and sister Lynn (Michael) McDonald.

Sadly missed by Len (Diane) Ladouceur, Lucille (Ray) Martel (both predeceased), Laurier (Jean) Ladouceur, Lorraine (Carm predeceased) Allaire, Laurent (Judy predeceased) Ladouceur, Linda (Paul) Ethier (both predeceased), Lila (Norm predeceased) Langis, Louise (predeceased) (Dave) DeMarco, Leo (Line) Ladouceur, Liona (Dave) Thibault. 

Penny-Jane's many nieces and nephews especially enjoyed her quirky sense of humour and sincere compassion for others. 

With heavy heart her loving friends also bid her Adieu.

You, Penny-Jane, lived a simple life, wishing peace and wellness to everyone. You wore your gentle heart on your sleeve and shone kindness in your eyes. 

You never begrudged anyone's success, but rather rejoiced in their blessing. You were a compassionate soul, who always managed to see the positive side of life, usually in the most hilarious ways.

We, your family and friends, enjoyed your outlook on life and will miss your company greatly. But, we release you into your loving Lord's embrace.
