It is with saddened hearts that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on July 21, 2025 at the age of 90 years old.
Predeceased by her late husband Alex Collin in 2022. Dear mother of the late Monique Landers and survived by Carole Landers Delay (Mike), Pat Labelle (Fern), Dan Landers and Kevin Landers (Candice). Sadly, missed by her grandchildren Lisa, Karen, Jennifer, Robert (Joleil), Dylan, Taylor and great grandchildren, Jayden, Maddox, Hailey, and Jack. Survived by brother Albert Clouâtre (Lucienne). Predeceased by Léon, Cécile, Phillipe, Raymond, Adrien, Adrienne, Gilles, and Léa.
Alida was the most amazing mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother to her ever-growing family. She dedicated her life to family and making sure we were supported in whatever we did and that we never felt anything other than loved. She sacrificed more than we will ever know. She always made time to listen to all our problems and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Mom spoke her truth with honesty and heart – no filters, just facts. She was the anchor to our family. After she retired from her Assistant Manager position in the Deli at Loblaws, she enjoyed crochet, knitting, reading books and playing games.
Everyone who was fortunate enough to know her was in awe of everything she achieved. And the warmth and happiness she brought to us cannot be overstated. She touched the hearts of family, friends, and anyone who knew her.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. As per Alida’s expressed wishes, a private family gathering will be held for her, honoring her love of her family.
Mes sympathies à toute la famille de tante Alida. Mes pensées sont avec vous pendant cette période difficile. Elle sera toujours présente dans vos coeurs.
