Landry, Joseph Omer Donald

It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family announces the passing of Joseph Omer Donald Landry in Sudbury on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at the age of 66. Son of Omer Landry (deceased) and Jeannine Landry Roach (deceased), and stepfather Larry Roach (deceased), and his brother Marc (deceased). Husband of L. Lynn Levac and loving stepfather to Neil Blake and Leia Blake (Ryan Yantha). Beloved step-grandfather of Porsche, Phoenix, and Natalia Yantha. Survived by his brother Phillip (Louise), brothers-in-law Ben Levac (Gwen), Doni Levac (Barbara Young), and sister-in-law Nicole Deault. Uncle to Erik, Kyle (Candace), Tyler (Stacy), Patrick (Sarah), Martine, Justin (Shannon), Troy, Joël-Philippe (Mélanie), Dominique, Jade (Drew), Gabriel, Stéphanie (Randy), Patrick (Kayla), and Cody (Dani). Great-uncle to Matthew, Chelsea, Elijah, Keaton, Norah, Raymond, Amelia, Kasen, Aida, Rhya, Theo, Leo, Joël-Phillippe, and Henry. Don enjoyed the last 20 years of his career with MSA. He gained immense respect for the first responders and firefighters. Don spent some his retirement golfing, helping out part time at Timberwolf and enjoying the grandkids. Don will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or service. Our gratitude goes out to Dr. Lynn Boissonnault, who cared for Don for the past 20 years, Dr. Lepage, Dr. Kearney, Dr. Cavanagh, Dr. Eric Esslinger, Dr. DeMarchi and all other doctors who cared for Don and whose names escape me. A special thank you to nurses Paul, Joanne, Natalie, Bonnie, Jennalee and Kailey for the great care they provided Don. For family and friends, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date and will be communicated through Facebook. Donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice.
