The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Gerald “Gerry” Mercier, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Linda Mercier (nee Ste. Croix). Devoted and loving father of Clint Mercier and Ian Mercier (Sherry-Lee Pennington). Cherished grandfather of Brett Mercier, Darrin Mercier, Austin Gagne and Philippe Melanson. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Elaine (nee Brennan) Mercier. Dear brother of Kay Currie, Dorothy Burns, Laurence Mercier, Bob Mercier and Colleen Saunders. Gerry was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by many relatives and friends. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. As per the family’s request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Parish, 1887 Bancroft Dr., Sudbury on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a light lunch.
It’s been 8 years and I still miss you……….. You were so kind to me, and bridged a gap that helped me. I hope that you were rewarded for your kindness, caring, and compassion. (and not according to your warped sense of humor) lol
