It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Gisela at her residence in Sudbury surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Nicole Goggins (Brian) and son Ralph (Patricia), grandchildren Nicholas (Latisha), Courtney, Andrea (Darin), Kirsten(Travis), Marina (JR) and Erich of Sudbury. Also by many nieces, nephews and sister in law, Hannalore Kruger, all residing in Germany. Gisela immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1955 continuing a nursing career as a nurse’s aid, retiring from the Sudbury General hospital as a Registered Nurse after thirty years of dedicated service. She was an avid gardener taking particular care and pride in her flower garden and eagerly anticipated the blooming of her apple tree in the back yard every spring. A devout Lutheran, it is Gisela’s wish to have a church service memorial which will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the March of Dimes.

Dear Ralph and Family
It is very sad for us all that your Mom is gone. My family loved her dearly, especially my Mom. They had such a wonderful friendship over many years, including travels and adventures in Europe. We all enjoyed many summer days that Gisela spent at camp with us. She will be missed, but never forgotten
All my love, Kim Rochon
