It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Michael Stephen Joseph Rubic in his 68th year, on March 26, 2019. Former husband of Elaine Dahl (Glen). Loving father of Pam Lemieux (Rob) and cherished Grandfather to the light of his life; his Granddaughter Emma Kay. Predeceased by Father Lawrence. Dear brother of Ron “Snooksie”, Richie, Robin (Cindy) and Joe. Supportive Uncle to Lee (Lisa), Amanda and Ryan. Will be deeply missed by the Kolar family. Predeceased by long time companion Shana (Lyka). Step father to Mark, Sylvie and David, as well as special step grandfather to their children. Michael “The Captain” was a kind, gentle and fun loving man that will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. He cherished his family and friends above all else and shared his passion for cars, motorcycles and boats with the people that he loved and his furry sidekick Mickey. Whether water skiing, swimming or roaring down the lake in this boat, we will always remember him enjoying the water and are wishing him peace on his final voyage.A celebration of his life will be held at the Beef ‘n Bird on Lorne Street on March 31st, 2019 from 2 to 5 lieu of flowers donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or SPCA would be appreciated.

  1. Dear Mike! I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of one amazing Human Being! I am so blessed to have spend the precious years we shared! You brought so much Joy to so many of us with your beautiful kind Heart and made us laugh so hard! So many great memories we shared down at the lake/Cabin boating, Barbecuing, sitting around the fire place…and I want you to know that we will be together again…..this time for eternity! Sending you prayers and all the love from my Heart!!

    We are so sad to learn of the passing of Mike; he was such a sweet and gentle soul and will certainly be missed by all those who knew him. We had some amazing times together and if the walls could only talk, but those stories are for another day.
