It is with heart felt sorrow that the family announces the passing of Thelma Ruth Prowse at her residence on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 with loving family by her side at the age of 95 years. Loving wife and lifelong partner of Stanley Lloyd Prowse. Beloved mother of Gary (Veronica), Wayne (Kathie) and Carol (Ken). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Brent), Steve, Kim (Steve), Stephanie (Greg), Chris (Jenn), Nick (Shanna), Andrew and great grandmother of Riley, Alyssa, Raya, Travis, Lily, Ben, Elaina, Patrick and James. Born in Admiral Rock, NS, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Jennie (nee Caddell) Brimicombe. She is survived by her brother Vincent (Joan) and sister Pearle (Bill predeceased) and predeceased by siblings, Robert (Daphne), George (Lily), Dot (Tom), Margaret (Lloyd) and Walter. Special aunt to Debbie and Real. A very special thank you to Dr. Mitchell and the staff at ICAN, Bayshore and CCAC for everything they have done for Ruth and our family. Ruth enjoyed playing cards and traveling but her greatest joy was the time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed by family and friends and was “Nan” to everyone. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Sick Kids www.sickkidsfoundation.com or St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre would be appreciated.
Wayne, Gary and Carol: was very saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing. Can fondly remember calling for Wayne on the phone only to have your Mom (aka “Edith”) scream into the phone for Wayne, always made me smile……

Lloyd, all of us would like to express our sincere sympathy to you and your entire family. Ruth was a special lady and she will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Even though I have not seen you or any of the family since I moved to Port Dover, Ontario to be close to my children, I think of you and your family often. Our thoughts are with you all during this very sad time.
