McMillan, Brian

Brian Lavern McMillan, 71, of Sudbury, ON passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Health Science North surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 52 years to Bonnie (McLean). Loving father of Kim (Gary) Rivait, Derl (Robin) McMillan and Laurie (Warren) Osborne. Cherished “Papa”/”Big Papa” of five grandchildren, Kayla, Erik, Ewan, Connor and Abigail. Born in Fort Erie, ON he moved to Sudbury as a young man to work for INCO where he was employed for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf and was a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lots of time was spent at Parkin Lake north of Capreol at the family camp where he loved fishing and being outdoors. Brian was extremely proud of his family. Some of his greatest joys in life came from witnessing the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. His kind and loving nature will be missed by his family and friends. Thank you to the Cancer Care nurses and the nurses from the 5th floor of Health Science North and a special thank you to Nurse Kim Heckman, a friend of the family. 3. Dear Bonnie, I am so sorry for your loss of Brian. I worked in Leisure Service when you and Brian took care of the trailer park in Azilda. I enjoyed our laughs and him teasing me because you were going to Florida. I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed meeting you both and to let you know my feelings of a wonderful man.
    Take care of yourself.
Thinking of you and your family.
    Bonnie
