HOLDAWAY, Phyllis-Anne “Hedgie” – March 29th, 1950 – January 23rd, 2016

Knowing it was time, she waited for Pat to arrive at her bedside, then as he held her hand, allowed herself to peacefully slip away into the waiting arms of God. She will be especially missed and remembered by Rosemary (Kent), Reg (Vicki), Kelly and Laura, Cara (Rob) and Shelby, Douglas (Amanda), Emmett and Daphne, Bill (Gunhilde), Caitlin and Olivia, her best friend Ruth (Wayne), along with her countless worldwide needle-art friends. We all offer heartfelt thanks to the entire Sudbury Medical Community and support workers who provided Hedgie with such wonderful and compassionate care during her last years.

  1. Pat and Family,

I was always amazed at the talent Hedgie had. I think of her everytime I hang our signs at camp which she painted for us. She will be missed but she suffered enough. She is now being creative in a different place.

  2. Pat, I am so sorry to hear Hedgie has passed on. She was a creative bright light, and I will remember her always with knitting needles in her hands. Take care.
