Garbutt, William “Bill”

Passed away, surrounded by the love of his family, in hospice, on Monday, February 17th, 2020 at the age of 74. Son of the late Fred Rutledge and the late Pearl Hall (nee Cook) Reunited with his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Garbutt (nee Skelton). Loving father of Theresa Paquette (Leon), Kim, Ross (Tracy Lochschmidt), Tammy Castonguay (Gene) and Mike (Micheline Faccendi). Proud papa of Nathalie Giroux (Jon), Julie Gauthier (Marc), Stephanie Paquette (Pascal Renaud), Kris (Keely Gow), Linda Greening, Danny Greening (Tina Placido), Ty, Michael, Dylan, Kayla Breault (Mathieu Ouellet) and Jessica Breault, Noah, Zachary and Sarah. Cherished great-papa of Caleb, Chanelle, Easton, Rylan, Nixon, Lexi, Max, Zayden, Olivier and Éloise. Bill is dearly missed and survived by his siblings Wayne Rutledge, Dawn Toms, Cheryl White, Patty Linkert, and Lori Case, his sister-in-law Hope (Dave Sutton) and brothers-in-law Bill (Madeline), Paul (Sharon), Gerard (Terry), Danny (Dolly) and Brian. Predeceased by his siblings Janet Duxbury, Jean Case, Robert Garbutt, and Jim Hall. Bill will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Special thank you to Dr. Melanie Patry for her care and compassion, and all the staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice who cared and comforted Bill and his family in his final days. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, June 6^th, 2020 at Leon and Theresa’s residence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Maison McCulloch Hospice.
