It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Del Nin, 71 years on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of over 46 years to Leslie (née Reid) Del Nin. Loving father of Andrew (Jennifer) Del Nin and Shawn Del Nin (Kim Fram). Cherished grandfather of Ethan, Emily, Nick and Samantha. Born in Codroipo, Italy he was the son of the late Giovanni and Anna (née Trevisan) Del Nin and son-in-law of Wilfrid and Mavis (née Olmstead - predeceased) Reid. Dearly loved brother of Louie Del Nin (Lana) and Fernanda Basso (Johnny) and brother-in-law of Richard Reid (Nancy) and Kenneth Reid (predeceased). He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, friends and relatives in Italy. A well-respected Senior Constable with the O.P.P, Frank retired on August 31, 2000 with 33 years of dedicated service. Blessed with a “green thumb” he enjoyed spending time in his garden but was also a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan. What brought Frank his greatest joys in life was witnessing the many accomplishments of his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held at the Lions Club, 27 Sturgeon Street, Dowling on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Relatives and friends are welcome from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory can be made directly to the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre would be appreciated.
