Cundari, Judith Ann

In loving memory of Judith "Judi" Ann (Palmer) Cundari, 64 years, who passed away Wednesday morning, August 26th, 2015, at home surrounded by her loving family. Judi won her battle with cancer, every day for 7.5 years and then one day, became tired and went to where she needed to be. God will take care of her now, just as she has taken care of her family and friends. Loving wife of Samuel "Sam" Cundari for 42 years. Her strength and determination were driven by her overpowering love for her Children and Grandchildren. Loving Mother of Angela (Randy Paris), Stephanie (Roberto Rocca) and David (Brittany Hammond). Loving and dedicated Grandmother of Samantha, Connor, Emma, Lucas and Julia. They will forever remember her as the smartest person that they ever knew. She was incredibly excited to meet two more Grandchildren, arriving in October and December. She will now be a special guardian angel to them, as well as the rest of her family. Dear Daughter of Lawrence and Beatrice Palmer, both pre-deceased. Dear Sister of Sandra (pre-deceased), wife of Ronson Patrick and Donald Palmer (Katy). Special Aunt to David, Sean, Scott and Molly. Special Cousin of Susan (Peter). Loyal and true friend to many, especially Rosemary. She will be missed by her dog, Cooper, who was by her side up until the final moment. Not to forget her special companions throughout the years: Riley, Max and KC. Born in Sudbury in 1950, Judi graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Science. She was very intelligent, organized and volunteered much of her time, where she met new people, which she truly enjoyed. She had a passion for traveling with her family. She and Sam visited Italy in 2014, a life-long wish of hers. However, the vacation she most looked forward to, was the annual family vacation to Florida. This is where she was happiest: staying in a house with her entire family and watching her Grandchildren have fun. She worked at Bell Canada, retiring in 2004, where she made many wonderful life-long friends. She was a dedicated member of Holy Redeemer Parish and part of the Catholic Women's League. From the beginning of her cancer diagnosis, right through to the end, Judi displayed strength, courage, determination and optimism that was unmatched. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and fellow patients battling the disease. Judi was an eternal optimist and this is the legacy she leaves behind for her family. She never gave up hope and fought to the very last minute. Special thanks to Dr. Pablo Cano and Dr. Guy Mongeon for their continued optimism and the wonderful care they consistently provided over the years. Judi was very grateful that Dr. Cano taught her how to live with cancer, rather than die from it. Service at Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Dr. on Monday, August 31st, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon, in the church hall, to follow. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pet Save, the Sam Bruno PET Scan Fund or the Minnow Lake Food Bank would be appreciated.

  5. Dear Angela, Stephanie, David, all the grandchildren and your dearest dad:
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember the first time Angela told me her mom had cancer. I was blown away because she always looked so good, so happy and so full of pep and energy. I cannot pinpoint the last time I saw her, but when I did – still I would never know. I know you all enjoyed your Florida vacations with her so much and the time you visited a cottage in the Muskokas with her. I hope that you can continue to do these things with her vivacious spirit present. Love the Rioux family

  6. Condolences to the family. Did not know Judi too well but I did buy Avon from her. She did give me advice and support when my journey with cancer started just in the last few months. I know she was giving the good fight. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
