Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 25, 20 at Extendicare Falconbridge at the age of 80 yrs. Born in 1939 in Sturgeon Falls, ON to Bartly and Luella ‘Bubs” (Costello) Cummings (both predeceased). Barry is survived by his loving wife of 62 yrs, Kathleen “Kathy” (Charsley) Cummings. Beloved father of Dean (Bonnie), Lori (Chuck) Banich, Dale (Dave) Horner, James “Jamie” or “Jim” (Mardy). Sadly, missed by 8 grand children, Dean Jr., Scotty (Joanna) Cummings, Brandon Banich, Kara (Dan) Milley, Kristy (Brad) Nault, Brandi (Andrew) Cristo, Kelsey (Erik) Heikkila, Shelby (Matt) Strain and 7 great grandchildren. Cherished brother in law of George (Gayle) Charsley, Jim (Sandy) Charsley and families. Missed by many cousins in Sudbury, Sturgeon Falls and North Bay. Barry was a well known and respected business owner/operator of Barry’s Trucking, Water Service. A stroke in 1994, then stopped his working career. Thank you to all the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for the last 5 yrs. Special thanks to all the nurses and PSW’s on the 3rd floor for your care and compassion. As per Barry’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. A Burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Garson will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations in Barry’s memory can be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society (Sudbury) or to the Resident Council Fund at Extendicare Falconbridge.
